Zug, Switzerland - Barbara Peeters, Managing Director of Infront Netherlands, has decided to leave the international sports marketing company Infront Sports & Media, a Wanda Sports company, mid-March 2017. She will join World Tour Cycling Team Sunweb as Chief Commercial Officer starting on 1 April 2017. Infront is currently assessing several options for Barbara Peeters’ replacement. The revised structure and set-up for Infront Netherlands’ activities will be communicated in due course.
Barbara Peeters joined Referee Sportsmarketing in July 2001, advancing over the years to Managing Director – a role she maintained after Referee was acquired by Infront in 2015. As Managing Director, she contributed her vast expertise, strong dedication and extensive network surrounding the International Skating Union (ISU) to help Infront strengthen its winter sports portfolio to include all seven Olympic winter sports federations.
Philippe Blatter, President & CEO of Infront: “We regret that Barbara Peeters has taken the decision to leave Infront but are appreciative of her support and dedication over the last years. She was a key contact and loyal representative of Infront for many of our partners. On behalf of the entire Infront family, I wish her all the best for her professional and personal future.”
Barbara Peeters added: “Working for Infront and supporting the ISU has been a great experience, for which I am grateful. Coming on board from Referee Sportsmarketing, we were welcomed from the very first moment and I truly enjoyed working for the world’s leading sports marketing company. Until my departure, I will ensure a seamless transition process and make certain that all partners continue to receive the same premium service to which they are accustomed.”
