Global touring car platform to benefit from content creation collaboration between Infront Lab and Infront Productions
Zug, Switzerland – Infront and the WSC Group, the owner of the TCR rights and technical regulations, have entered a partnership focused on the digital activation and distribution of content around TCR competition.
The project will see Infront Lab manage digital content strategy and distribution through Content X, its cutting-edge sports content automation solution, enabling distribution of automatically generated highlight reels and graphics at scale. Infront Productions will be responsible for all content production and live streaming, including the production of race highlights, driver interviews and World Rankings update. TCR will be joining leagues such as the SPFL, CHL and more who are already enjoying Infront's 360 approach to digital content.
Within the frame of this cooperation, special attention will be given to the newly established Kumho TCR World Tour that will be running from April to November; nine events have been selected from the over 200 TCR-sanctioned events and have been labelled as TCR World Tour events. The best drivers will qualify for the TCR World Ranking Final.
Amikam Kranz, Vice President Media, Technology and Betting at Infront, said: “This is another example of what this unit is capable of, offering more opportunities for rights holders to engage fans at multiple stages of the value chain. The combination of digital expertise and products from Infront Lab and the professionalism from Infront Productions means we can commit to creating and distributing only the very best content for the touring car audience globally. I’m excited to see how we can help WSC Group make an impact in this first season together.”
Marcello Lotti, President of WSC Group said: “We are excited to work with Infront, a trusted partner with both experience in the industry as well as expertise in digital content production and distribution, a global leader for sports marketing. We believe that this partnership can add great value to the TCR community, lifting the Kumho TCR World Ranking to new heights on a global scale.”
