Building supply solutions brand expands on previous presence at top skiing events
Zug, Switzerland – Würth, the global market leader in the development, production, and sale of fastening and assembly materials, has been named a Main Sponsor at both the FIS Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships 2023 after reaching an agreement with Infront, the exclusive marketing partner of both events.
The company’s logo will appear in the finish areas at the Alpine World Ski Championships, taking place in Courchevel and Méribel, France from 6-19 February. It will then feature at the start installation and exit gate at all main ski jumping events at the Nordic World Ski Championships which next year will be held in Planica, Slovenia from 21 February – 5 March.
Würth was previously a Main Sponsor at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2021 in Oberstdorf, Germany but this marks the first time the brand will feature at the Alpine World Ski Championships.
Michael Witta, Vice President Marketing Sales at Infront said: “I’m delighted to not only see Würth return as a Main Sponsor for the Nordic World Ski Championship but look to utilise the reach and exposure of the Alpine World Ski Championship. These events are going to receive wide coverage across a broad audience, geographically and in terms of the demographics. Würth’s decision to leverage both will give its brand a huge presence on an almost daily basis during the most significant month for skiing fans.”
Fritz Hollweck, Head of Sports sponsorships at Würth said: “We are happy to be main partner of the Alpine and Nordic World Ski Championships 2023. Würth has a long history in wintersports and now we can enlarge our sponsorships. The Nordic World Ski Championships 2021 in Oberstdorf were a very good start for us with event sponsorships. We also want to support again with our tools and materials as well as the intelligent services in the venues. As our international campaign says: "Ready for Work". With these two events we also will have a huge brand exposure in many markets, where Würth is active.”
