Zug, Switzerland – The Men’s and Women’s EHF EURO will enjoy broader free-to-air (FTA) coverage in Germany after SportA acquired the rights for ARD and ZDF to broadcast the event for the next six years.
The deal, brokered by Infront as the European Handball Federation’s (EHF) exclusive media and marketing partner, means that, as of 2026, matches from both the men’s and women’s biennial handball competition will feature on ARD and ZDF until 2030. Martin Hausleitner, General Secretary, EHF said: “The continued broadcast of the EHF EUROs on free-to-air will bring our premier competitions to the broadest possible audience in Germany. Jens Mennigmann, Co-Head of Media,, Infront said: “This agreement only showcases our commitment to promoting handball and ensures the sport's excitement and dynamism reaches a wide and diverse audience. We believe that by making premier events like the Men’s and Women’s EHF EURO more accessible, we are contributing to the enduring popularity and growth of handball.”
