Initial three-year agreement prolonged following significant impact on sponsorship revenue
Milan, Italy – Lega Basket (LBA) and Infront have announced a prolongation to its marketing, sponsorship, and digital agreement until the end of the 2029/30 season.
The extension is a result of the positive work achieved in the first three years of partnership which began ahead of the 2020/21 season. Sponsorship revenues have grown by double digits, with numerous partners renewing. This has been driven by new activations and an ever-increasing involvement of fan engagement opportunities.
The integrated approach has also resulted in LBA sponsors and individual clubs collaborating at dedicated workshops, allowing for better connections and providing greater visibility to basketball, expanding the sports target audience and creating value for all stakeholders.
Umberto Gandini, President at Lega Basket Serie A, said: “The work carried out together with Infront in these three years has led to important results in terms of economic growth for LBA and its clubs, of strategy and visibility on the market, thanks to the activation of transversal projects that are bringing us closer to an increasingly varied audience. I believe that being able to work again together with a consolidated international reality in the sports business sector can allow Lega Basket to implement a medium-long term strategy to increase economic results.”
Alessandro Giacomini, Managing Director Infront Italy, said: “We are increasingly satisfied with the work we are doing with Lega Basket Serie A. I am proud to be able to announce the renewal of our partnership until 2030, with a view to a long-term project, which will allow us to work strategically for the development of various assets that enable significant economic growth in the sector.”
