Zug/Bern, Switzerland – In less than three weeks, kick off for the Raiffeisen Super League and the Brack.ch Challenge League will get underway – with Nissan as “Official Sponsor of the Swiss Football League”. The Japanese car manufacturer is complementing existing partners Allianz Suisse, Sporttip and Swisscom and is to benefit from a comprehensive advertising presence in the two Swiss top leagues. The partnership was brokered by InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland, the exclusive marketing partner of the Swiss Football League, based on the central marketing concept introduced in 2012.
Development of sports sponsorship
The sponsorship of the Swiss Football League is further proof of Nissan’s enthusiasm for sports. Cédric Diserens, Managing Director of Nissan Switzerland, stated: “As a proud partner of the UEFA Champions League, we are pleased to now also become a mobility partner of football in our home market and to present fascinating matches to our customers.”
Claudius Schäfer, CEO of the Swiss Football League, added: “We are delighted to have another strong brand in Swiss football. The partnership will further strengthen the Raiffeisen Super League and the Brack.ch Challenge League. I am confident that our platform will help Nissan to achieve its communication and business goals.”
Lukas Troxler, Director Marketing & Business Development at InfrontRingier, emphasises: “As the most far-reaching platform in Switzerland, the Swiss Football League offers Nissan high-quality branding. Thanks to the many activation possibilities, the brand will also benefit from an excellent engagement at the matches through this commitment.”
Central marketing as a successful model
The central marketing concept of the Swiss Football League guarantees companies continuous brand visibility – across all clubs in Switzerland and over the entire season. As an Official Sponsor, from the first match of the season – FC Luzern vs FC Sion on 18 July 2015 – Nissan will be visible at all live TV games of the season.
