The Tahincioglu All-Star 2018 basketball event wrapped up with a record-breaking 15,000 spectators witnessing the 151:142 victory by Team Asia over Team Europe at the Sinan Erdem Dome on Sunday.
Istanbul, Turkey, 24 January 2018 – The Tahincioglu All-Star 2018 basketball event wrapped up with a record-breaking 15,000 spectators witnessing the 151:142 victory by Team Asia over Team Europe at the Sinan Erdem Dome on Sunday. The Tahincioglu All-Star 2018 was broadcast live across Turkey and abroad. The broadcast was handled by the Basketball Super League’s official broadcaster NTV Spor.
With seven sponsors signed up, fans on-site enjoyed a full line-up of entertainment beyond the game. This included the Tahincioglu Slam Dunk Contest, won by young and talented Anadolu Efes player Onuralp Bitim, the ING Bank Three-Point Shoot-Out won by Brady Heslip of Trabzonspor and the LeasePlan Skills Challenge won by reigning champion Yigit Aslan of Tofas Spor Kulubu. The most-valued player (MVP) of the All-Star game was Turkish National Team and Tofas Spor Kulubu guard Baris Ermis. Celebrated Turkish dance group ‘Fire of Anatolia’ transformed the All-Star Day into an unforgettable experience thanks to Mitsubishi Electric's sponsorship. Turkish pop star Murat Boz wowed the crowd with a concert at half time, while Red Bull’s Ayse Begüm Onbası, gymnastics World Champion, thrilled spectators with a stunning floor performance.
