Zug, Switzerland - The American bicycle and cycling product manufacturer Trek has teamed up with the Tour de Suisse in a three year partnership negotiated by InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland, organiser and marketer of the Tour de Suisse.
A professional neutral race service is an indispensable and vital element of any professional cycling event. For that reason, Tour de Suisse is pleased about the alliance with Trek - equipping the race service with high-quality spare racing bikes. All nine of the spare bikes provided are one-off models, designed by the “Project One” online configuration, which can be found here.
While cyclists will benefit from the neutral race service, fans and visitors will be able to enjoy a Bike Expo at the events. Trek is to showcase an attractive selection of its current range of models at the race hubs in Risch-Rotkreuz and Bern. The models on display will include the feather-light Trek Emonda, the Madone racing bike and the specialist bike for bumpy terrain, the Domane.
For years, Trek has been the trusted brand of Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara, who is under contract with the “Trek Factory Racing” team. Cancellara repeatedly arrives at the start of his races with special paint finishes, some of which are available in the Trek online configurator.
The Trek Bicycle Corporation is one of the leading manufacturers of bicycles and accessories, with over 1,600 employees in 22 subsidiaries worldwide. Today, Trek is going another step further: Trek wants to contribute to ensuring that the bicycle is seen as a simple solution for quite complex problems worldwide. The bicycle is the most efficient form of locomotion for mankind. It contributes to stemming climate change, avoids traffic jams and takes care of fitness.
