In July 2022, the Sydney Marathon was announced as a candidate race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM).
The only running event in Australia to be broadcast live each year, the TCS Sydney Marathon boasts over 40,000 participants from over 100 countries.
The race ends at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
