COMPETITION FORMAT
CEV CHAMPIONS LEAGUE VOLLEY
- Early Rounds (Preliminary Round + 1-3 Rounds): A Preliminary Round will be played as a tournament with a single round robin format, whilst 1st-3rd rounds will be
played as “knock-out” with a Home and Away match - 4th Round (Pool Phase): Double round robin with three matches at home and another three away matches. Five pools, each with four teams. Winner of each pool progress directly to Quarter Finals. The five second placed teams and the third-placed team with the best score qualify to Playoffs
- Playoff: The five second placed teams and the third-placed team with the best score. Played as “knock-out” with a Home and Away match
- Quarter Finals: Three winners of Playoff Phase and five pool winners from 4th Round. Played as “knock-out” with a Home and Away match
- Final 4: There will be 3 matches played in each gender (2x semis & 1x gold match). Based on the 2025 competition calendar, the Women Final 4: 3-4 May while the Men: 17-18 of May
CEV VOLLEYBALL CUP
- Maximum 32 Clubs per gender compete in 1/16 finals.
- 16 winning Clubs then play 1/8 finals always on a home and away format followed by 1/4 finals, 1/2 finals and finals.
- All played in a knockout, home and away format.
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL
- Maximum 64 Clubs per gender compete in early qualification round in a knockout format.
- Winning teams then proceed to 1/16 finals – 1/8 finals – 1/4 finals – 1/2 finals and finals also in a knockout format.
